Look what I found!!!!

Aaron, you can translate the last post when you have time. This post does not close anything in previous posts.

While sorting through the boxes damaged by a bit of a flood we had in the basement (There is a hole of which we were not previously aware in our garage wall. < looks annoyed > ), I found some, how shall I put it?, interesting alternate Christmas carol lyrics that my brother (the commie, not the vehicular extremist) and his friends at school made up when he was in about grade three, and which the children of our family later edited and added to. I am not longer sure which portions were made up by whom, but there are two versions, one obviously done after the other, and both going to the tune of "Jingle Bells". I am posting both versions. Do not ask me why I felt that it was so important to share them, because I'm not too sure either.

Bash and Crash - version 1

Bashing through the snow, on a pair of broken skis, o'er
the hills I go, crashing into trees! The snow is turning red,
I think I broke my head, and now I'm in the hospital with
stitches in my head. Oh!

Chorus: Bash and Crash, Bash and Crash, crashing into
trees, how I love to lie in bed with two broken knees! Oh! x2

Flying through the air, on a rusty, bent snowboard, above the
hills I go, landing in brambles. I landed in a lke, it was very
cold, and now I'm in the hospital in a block of solid ice! Oh!

Chorus:

Speeding down the hill, in a bashed up toboggan, going very
fast, I think I'm going to crash! Now I've hit a bump, I'm flying
through the air, now I'm in the hospital - the birds pulled out my
hair! Oh!

Chorus:

Bash and Crash - version 2

1. Bashing through the snow
On a pair of broken skis
O'er the hills I go
Crashing into trees
The snow is turning red
I think I broke my head
And now I'm in the hospital with stitches in my head

Chorus: Oh! Bash and crash, Bash and crash, smashing
into trees, How I love to lie in bed with two broken knees.
Oh! Bash and crash, bash and crash, smashing into trees,
how I love to lie in bed with two broken knees

2. Flying through the air
On a rusty bent snowboard
O'er the trees I go
Landing in brambles (Ouch, ooch, ow!)
I landed in a lake
It was very cold
And now I'm in the hospital in a solid block
of ice

Chorus:

3. Speeding down the hill
On a bashed-up toboggan
I am going fast
I think I'm gonna crash
Now I've hit a bump
I'm flying through the air
And now I'm in the hospital - the
birds pulled out my hair

Chorus:

4. Flying down the hill
On an out-of-control skidoo
Down the slope I go
Bouncing over rocks (ouch, ooch, ow)
I crashed into a tree
There was a bear inside
And now my arm is missing, and heck,
I don't know why

Chorus:

The spelling, punctuation, capitalization and formatting is as close as I could get to the original without giving it too much thought. I think there are a lot of things in the first version that I like better than the way they are in the second version. Not sure why I felt the urge to post it, especially as it will assist the discovery of my true identity by people who know me/used to know me.

As always, Kate.
